Oreo Fudge

The creamy and crunchy Oreo Dulce de Leche has become one of our favorite holiday treats. The melted white chocolate creates the perfect base for this easy Fudge recipe.

Ingredients

6 tablespoons of salted butter
1 teaspoon of vanilla
1 cup of white chocolate wafers or high-quality chocolate chips.
2 cups of sugar
1 can (5 ounces) evaporated milk (this equals 2/3 cup)
10 large marshmallows, cut in half
8-10 Oreo Cookies, chopped

Instructions

Line an 8×8 baking tray with parchment paper or non-stick aluminum foil, making sure to cover the edges and sides. This will help cut the solid dulce de leche.
In a large bowl, add butter, vanilla and chocolate, melting the wafers or French fries. Remember that the higher the quality of the potatoes, the faster and better they will melt. Also, they will taste better!
In a 6 quart saucepan, add sugar, milk and marshmallows.
Over medium heat, bring mixture to a boil and stir continuously until mixture reaches 230*F (about 5 minutes of constant boiling).
Immediately pour the hot-melted marshmallow mixture over the chocolate wafers and butter.
Using a rubber spatula, stir well, making sure the chocolate melts and the mixture does not become lumpy. The mixture will thicken as you stir it.
Quickly add the chopped Oreos. The mixture should be quite thick now.
Pour the mixture into an 8×8 lined pan and let it cool.
Once the pan is at room temperature (feel the bottom of the pan) then remove the dulce de leche from the pan and cut it into pieces.
Store the extras in aluminum foil or plastic and then inside a plastic bag for best results.
