I always have people asking me for the recipe! You have to make it a little early because it needs time in the fridge, but it’s definitely worth it! The crowd appreciates it for sure!
Pistachio Dessert
Rations 8 portions
Cooking time 15 minutes
Ingredients
- 1 cup of flour
- 1/2 cup of crushed nuts
- 1 tablespoon of sugar
- 1 stick of butter
- 3 cups of milk
- 1 cup of powdered sugar
- 2 9-ounce cartons of Cool Whip
- 2 packs of instant pistachio pudding
- An 18-ounce packet of cream cheese *
Instructions
Crust
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees
- For the crust, mix the flour, nuts, sugar and butter with a mixer or fork.
- Spread the mixture in a 9 x 13 mold.
- Bake 15 to 20 or until lightly browned at 350 degrees.
- 5. After removing from the oven, cool in the refrigerator.
Icing
- Next, powdered sugar cream, cream cheese and a container of whipped cream.
- Spread the mixture on the cold crust.
- Prepare the pudding mixes, using only 3 cups of milk.
- 4. Pour over cream cheese mixture.
- 5. Cover with remaining cold whipped cream.
- Cool for several hours or overnight
