Slow Cooker Macaroni Hamburger Soup Recipe

This easy-to-make macaroni burger soup has been a dinner staple for decades!

Ingredients

1 1/2 pounds of lean ground meat
1 medium white onion, chopped
2 teaspoons of chopped garlic
1 28-ounce can of diced tomatoes
1 10.75 ounce can of condensed tomato soup
4 cups of strong meat broth
2 laurel leaves
1 teaspoon of dried thyme
2 cups frozen mixed vegetables
1/2 teaspoon of white sugar
black pepper to taste
2 cups of uncooked macaroni with elbow.

Instructions

Fry the ground beef and onions until the ground beef is cooked and the onions are translucent. Add garlic and fry until golden brown. Drain the fat and place it at the bottom of a pot.
Add the tomatoes, the tomato soup, the meat broth, the bay leaves, the thyme, the frozen vegetables, the sugar and the pepper.
Simmer it for 4-5 hours or over a low heat for 8-10.
Just before serving, cook the macaroni al dente according to the instructions on the package. Drain and add to hamburger soup.
Remove the bay leaves. Place them in bowls and serve.
