This strawberry pretzel salad is so delicious and easy to make! This dessert salad has a salty pretzel crust filled with a layer of sweet and creamy cream cheese and a strawberry topping that is irresistible!
INGREDIENTS
CRUST
2 cups crushed salted pretzels
3/4 cup melted butter
3 tablespoons of granulated sugar
FILLING IN
8 ounces of softened cream cheese
1 cup of granulated sugar
18 oz. the container of frozen-thawed whipped top
TOPPING
A 16-ounce package of strawberry jelly.
2 cups of boiling water
2 cups of fresh strawberries, thinly sliced
INSTRUCTIONS
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
In a bowl, beat the gelatin and boiling water until the gelatin is completely dissolved. Add the strawberries. Place them in the refrigerator.
In a medium bowl, mix the ingredients in the crust. Press into an ungreased 13 x 9-inch baking dish. Bake for 8 minutes. Cool on the cooling rack.
In a medium bowl, beat filling ingredients with electric mixer on medium speed until smooth. Sprinkle over cooled crust. Cover and refrigerate until cooled, 30 minutes or more.
Carefully place the gelatin coating over the filling. Refrigerate for 4 to 6 hours or until firm.
