Ingredients :

1 large red or white onion (or two smaller ones) finely chopped
1 tablespoon of olive oil
200 g of white bread crumbs (see note)
2 teaspoons of dried sage
2 teaspoons of dry mixed herbs
Salt and pepper
1 beaten egg with a fork

METHOD

Preheat the oven to 200C / 180C fan / gas mark 6 / 400F and grease a can large enough to contain all the filling balls – I usually use a small can for roasting.
