Have you tried the chocolate and mayonnaise cake? This incredibly simple chocolate cake recipe is decadent and delicious. With only a few ingredients, this cake is a mixture and is poured and then baked. It is so easy to make, you will be making this chocolate mayonnaise cake over and over again.


2 – 15 oz chocolate cake mix box
2 C Real May
6 large eggs
2 C water

Ingredients for the glaze
1 1/2 C unsalted sweet cream butter softened
1 – 8 oz of cream cheese is softened
1 1.2 Hershey Special Dark Cocoa Powder
1 tablespoon of pure vanilla extract
7 C powdered sugar
1/4 C heavy whipped cream


Cake Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350 and grease the moulds with baking spray and set them aside.
Using a stand mixer, combine all ingredients and beat until smooth
Divide the dough evenly among the 3 trays of the cake.
Bake in the oven for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
Allow to cool completely before removing from the cake trays.

Frosting Directions
Using the stand mixer again, beat the cream cheese and butter until combined and smooth.
Gradually mix the cocoa powder, vanilla and salt
Very slowly, beat the powdered sugar until it combines
Beat the whipped cream until the glaze is soft and fluffy.

Instructions for making the cake
Put a layer of cake on the cake board
Using the ice cream scoop, scoop out 4-6 scoops of icing and evenly smooth out a layer of cake.
Place another layer of cake on top and spread more icing
Place the last layer on top and cover the rest of the cake with the rest of the icing.
