The Best Brownie Cookies are soft, fluffy chocolate cookies that taste like a homemade brownie in the shape of a cookie. This is the only chocolate cookie recipe you’ll ever need!

Soft and chewy inside. Crunchy on the outside. And did we forget to mention that they’re filled with chocolate fudgy flavor? Brownies are delicious and these Brownie Cookies are a great choice when you want that Brownie flavor but don’t have the time or energy to make a whole pan. Two sister thumbs in this cookie recipe!


1/2 cup melted butter (sweet, salty cream)
1 cup of Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips (for melting)
1 cup of granulated sugar
1/4 cup of brown sugar
2 large eggs (room temperature)
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 cup multi-purpose flour
1/2 cup of cocoa powder
1 teaspoon baking powder
3/4 cups Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips (to add to cookie dough)


Melt the butter in the microwave. Add one cup of Chocolate Chips and stir until the Chocolate Chips combine with the butter and completely melt. Set the chocolate aside to cool while you make the rest of the cookie dough.
Add the granulated and brown sugar, eggs and vanilla to a bowl and mix for 2-3 minutes or until light and frothy.
Pour in the melted chocolate and mix until combined.
In a separate bowl, add the flour, cocoa powder and baking powder and mix until the cocoa powder is completely mixed with the flour.
Add the flour and cocoa mixture to the cookie dough slowly and mix until well blended.
Add the chocolate shavings to the cookie dough.
Cool the dough for one hour.
Roll the dough into a ball and place it on a prepared cookie sheet.
Bake in a preheated 350-degree oven for 9-11 minutes or until the cookie is set on the edges.
Cool on a cooling rack.
